How-to guide

Study-date and daily-boundary settings

The “Record Settings” section controls which day receives a late-night study session. Changes apply to future records and do not rewrite history that has already been saved.

Date recording method

Choose “Start Time” to use the date when the session began, or “End Time” to use the date when it finished.

For example, a session from 23:30 to 01:30 uses the first date under Start Time and the following date under End Time.

Daily boundary hour

Choose an hour from 0:00 through 8:00. A record earlier than the selected boundary is counted as part of the previous day.

With a 3:00 boundary, a record at 2:59 belongs to the previous day, while a record at 3:00 or later belongs to the current day. The boundary is applied to whichever start or end time you selected as the recording method.

Example for late-night study

To keep study that ends around 1:00 with the previous day, combine End Time with a boundary such as 3:00. Choose the setting that makes your charts match your normal schedule.
